It jumped out in front of me

As I drove into work this morning a saw a dented up car parked in the lot. It looks like it hit one of the poles in the parking lot. They are there so you cant go speedign through the parking lot cuttiing across parking spots. i almost get t-boned everytime when im out shopping because of dumbasses that think its ok to do that, or people going the wrong way in a parking lane, cmon people if you cant pull into a angled spot without backing up into it, your going the wrong way!Whoevers car it was must not have been paying attention to where they were driving, looks like it got smacked pretty good, not just a bump into it while parking. I took 2 pictures with my camera phone on the way home.

I like how the pictures come out on the camera it has, not very good quality but they look neat. I saw a thing in one of my camera magazines for an attachment that could do this to my SLR camera, I think I am gonna have to buy it. Sometimes my camera makes too good of pictures, be nice to have something to distort the picture.

I need to order a new digital camera soon. I want a canon D20 but I will have to wait until next month for that. But I need a small digital that I can put in my pocket, probably get a canon powershot SD20. I had a canon powershot A80, it was a good camera but too bulky for what I wanted so I sold it to a friend.

The other day the upstairs neighbor carrie knocked on my door to give me some of my mail. the mail man here is a moron and always gets our mail mixed up, i guess 108 and 208 are the same numbers to him. she commented on how messy my place looked and asked if i wanted to hang out. so i went up by her and we talked and stuff. she has two cats, they were fun to play with. she says i should get one than i can bring it upstairs for a play date. haha

she offered to clean my apartment for 50$ too. maybe if she'll wear a maid outfit ill take her up on that offer. it would be funny. and then i wouldnt have to clean it. its pretty messy.

i was out of bread for sandwhiches so i had to buy something out of the vending machine at work. i really wanted a muffin but it was full of just icky poo blueberry ones. so i ended up with a bbq something sandwhich. it was ok, but then my burps tasted like it for the rest of the day.

But its the flying car!

Hmm i guess i should write something, sorryt he site was done all last month almost. i was changing over to a new host and went over my bandwidth in the process so i had to wait til beginning of this month to get it finished. now its all set. i have a few things in gallery to fix, then i can put up a bunch of new stuff. i was having problems with old host and my gallery wouldnt let me put new pictures up.

while waiting i made a new website www.wreckedscions.com i havent done much to main page yet but theres a bunch of photos up in the gallery.

it was a sad day the otherday, its winter almost so it was time to give my Scion xB a final bathe and park it in the garage until summer.

I got the internet at my apartment finnally. so maybe i will start updating this again. things have been going pretty good, still got my job at kohler.

I got my scion xb now too. Been doing some work on it, i got the windows up front tinted. Put on a dc sports header, some stickers. Im going to be putting on a aem cold air intake and dc sports strut bar this weekend hopefully. i need to get it ready for a car show on the 26th. I got some pictures up in the gallery.

The vending machine at work had cheese struessel or however thats spelled muffins in it last night. i was waiting for them to put some more in, they are so yummy. normally it has chocolate chip, harvest bran and banana nut ones in it. but i like the cheese ones the best.

Few more days

Talked to my sales guy the otherday and he said they got allocated my car. its going to be polar white. which is cool. so i should have it in a about 10days or so he said. im excited. melissa is going to come pick me up, since its 2hrs away. then i need to drop it off at eclipse tinting and get the windows tinted.

I start my new job at kohler on the 19th. ill be loading kiln cars. i also will be gettting paid a few dollars more an hr. so thats good.

I got the gallery fixed finnaly, i even put some new pictures up, the top 4 galleries all have new stuff in them.

i was watching tv last night and they had a walmart commercial on, it had the smiley face guy drive up in a corvette and slash prices and stuff. they were playing james bond music and made the commercial james bondish. but they had him drive a vette! shouldnt they have animated it in a bond car?

New job soon

I got the gallery issue figured out I think. I need to change the permissions on the one folder. But for some reason the site wont let me. So I uploaded gallery to my other site, and it all works from there. I can even change the permissions and stuff. I emailed tech support. Hopefully they can fix it or something. Otherwise ill just put it all up on the othersite and just link to it.

Watched matrix 3 the otherday finnaly. It was pretty good I thought.

While I was over by mom the otherday she showed me some totes that I had there still. I have no clue where they’ve been hiding. I hadn’t seen them in about 2yrs. They had some stuff I was looking for too. I even had manuals for msdos 2.0 and a zenith z-140 manual. I have the envelope that the msdos disks came in, but I don’t have the disks. The envelope looks brand new though. I wonder if the stuff is worth anything. Ill have to look on ebay.

I get to go over to pottery tomorrow after work and look at some permanent jobs they have available over there. My job in the area im working ends in a little over a month, then I have to find another temp position to be assigned to. So im going to take a permanent position, I just got to see which one I like more and which pays better.

on the list

I went to Madison this weekend. I needed to sign some papers at the dealership for my car. I put my deposit down and ordered it. I should have it around the middle of next month he said. They’ll call me if they locate one farther than 75miles away. My contract says that it will have less than 75 miles when I get it. So they need my approval if it goes over. I have three different colors picked. Since that will help me get one sooner.

When I find out the color im getting I can decide on the rims. Im getting 18” rims and its being lowered 40mm. and a short shifter. It’ll be pretty sweet. I need to get the carbon fiber hood and spoiler still. Those ill have to order online later.

After that I was all done I met up with brenna and her parents for lunch. I haven’t seen her in a long time. Since I moved from Madison I think. She got a jetta now. Its cute. Lot nicer than her old car.

We headed over to the zoo. They had a big thing going on there though. So it was five dollars to get in. it’s normally free. So it wasn’t a big deal, I really like the place and they could use the money. I got some neat pictures while there. I have one roll scanned in already. I still need to develop the 2nd one though.

While I was at brennas I was going to show her some pictures on my page. But I guess it still isn’t fixed. I only looked at the front page, I didn’t try viewing the galleries. So I will have to figure out why its not working right. It’s a pain in the ass. Gallery was confusing to install and ive pretty much forgot it all already. Ill have to re learn it again.

Its shannons birthday today. I almost forgot to call her and say happy birthday. I knew it was on the 21st but I didn’t realize that I was already that day.

free ass raping at ups store

Went and got my oil changed today. I just had it changed less than a month ago and I was already almost 300 miles overdue. It went pretty quick this time though. Normally firestone is fairly slow when I get an oil change. I was reading a popular mechanics issue while there. I have the issue at home but haven’t had a chance to read it. So when I got home I was gonna finish it but couldn’t find mine. Ill hafta clean up the living room and try finding it.

Haven’t really got much accomplished this week. Still working on scanning in all my film. It takes almost 5minutes total each image. And I have a lot of film. I take about a roll a week. I need to go buy a better book on html too. My book is on html 4 and it came out in 1997. so it’s a bit outdated.

I got some pre approved credit card thing in the mail today and I was looking at it and it costs 200$ to get! What a rip off. Why would I pay for a credit card and then pay 49$ a year to have it. That met the trash can fairly quick.

I wish I had my new car now. It rained last night and I was lazy and didn’t park the car in the garage. So I had a wet seat for the drive to work. I put it in the garage tonight so if it rains ill have a dry butt for the drive to work.

The ups store (mailboxes etc.) here is a rip off for faxing stuff. I had to fax a document to the dealer and it cost 3$. When I lived in madison and used kinkos it was only a dollar. Im gonna have to find a better place to send faxes.

Sorry the gallery was down for a few days. I went to moms to upload some new pictures and noticed it wasn’t working. I didn’t have much time to figure it out. So I got annoyed and went back home. But today I checked into it more. My .htaccess file was screwed up I guess. I dunno if the host changed or upgraded some software that caused it or not. But its all fixed now.

Me and ann went to Madison Monday after work. That was nice. I test drove a car while there. Im planning on buying one, but since it’s a 2005 model and just came out theres a waiting list. The dealer estimates that I would be able to get it near the end of july. Which is ok. Gives me some more time to save up for it. Ann liked it a lot too. Ive got some good ideas on how to customize it when I get it too.

After that we headed over to the zoo. But it closes at 5pm I guess. So it wasn’t open. I was sad, I wanted to see the tigers and monkeys. Ill have to go on a weekend I guess.

We walked around state street then and ate at noodles and company. The mac n cheese there is really good. Noticed that the puzzlebox store is closing too. That sucks. The store was neat.

Fiz suks

Dad got the door and it was junk. Didn’t even have the inside panel or outer door handle. Which is what is broke on mine. Im working on some ways to solve this right now.

Since we weren’t going to work on the car Saturday I decided to go visit tammy. I left after hanging out with Claire for a bit. I hadn’t seen her in a while and she needed to drop some film off at walgreens.

It was ok at tammys. The kitty wasn’t there though. So I was kinda sad. We rented some movies and stuff. She had to work Saturday night though. I ended up reading up on stuff ive missed without having the internet at home. Don’t really miss it much still though.

On my drive home Sunday I figured I should call Shannon and see if she wanted to go eat somewhere and stuff. I haven’t seen her in a year and a half. I missed her a bunch. She said sure, we went to giovannis in Minneapolis to eat. They have good food there. We would always order from them when I lived with wendy. When I lived with wendy I don’t think we ever cooked at home, we ate out every night or ordered delivery.

While I was using the bathroom there I noticed someone wrote fiz suks on the paper towel dispenser. But it was wrote so you could read it while looking into the bathroom mirror!

After that we headed over to spoonbridge. Its my favorite place in Minneapolis. And I haven’t had a chance to take any pictures of it since ive got my canon camera.

We then decided to go walk around target looking at all the neat things they have. When we lived together we would always go to target and just look around. Theres always good stuff on the clearance areas at the ends of the aisles. Shannon is always a big excited nerd when they have the back to school supplies section.

It was getting late then so I had to get going. I had a 5hr drive home still. It was sad saying bye. But she loaded my ipod up with all of her music. So now I have 4109 new songs. I probly have some already. Ill have to weed out the duplicates. Its funny though, her selection of music is so girly. You can tell it’s a girls playlist

Stupid door.

My driver side car door has been evil this week. The otherday the door handle on the outside stopped working. I could only open it from the inside then. And now the window is all off track. So it wont roll up without tilting and almost falling out. And if its rolled down my door wont open.

Id buy a new caar , but this is the only thing wrong with it. And I still get great gas mileage. I was able to find a door for it at the junkyard in Cleveland. It has some dings but the color matches. Dad is going to pick it up tomorrow for me. Then we will put it on this weekend.

Kinda sucks though. I was gonna go see tammy this weekend. But now I cant. I don’t have any other weekends off this month either I think.

The only upside is that I will be able to get caught up on my laundry and cleaning my place. It’s a mess. I need to get the computer area setup better somehow too. Id like to get a better desk or something.

The light switch finally works right in the computer room. They replaced some outlets in it after I moved in. but after that the light switch didn’t work at all. I told them about it right away. I had to ask four times before it got fixed. But then after that the light switch turned off all the outlets, the top and bottom of each outlet. Except the one behind the door. So I called them right away and asked if the guy doing the work was an electrician. They said no, so I told them I don’t want him fixing it again. I wanted an electrician to come out and fix it, since they screw it up more every time. So they had one come out today. Now the switches all work properly.

Had to stop by moms tonight and fix her computer. The cd drives weren’t being recognized. Turns out that the cable connecting them to the motherboard went bad. The inside of the case was terrible. Everything was coated in crud. But she smokes so its expected to get gross inside it. I tried not to stir up the dust while fixing it. I didn’t want to choke to death. Maybe ill take it outside some day and blow the crud out of it. Probably run a little better, the thing is so slow for anything.

My Nikon coolscan v ed film scanner came yesterday. It set up pretty easy. Its smaller than I thought it would be.

I scanned some slides to try it out and took the files to walgreens to print out. I didn’t shrink them down from 4000dpi though. So they were 64mb files. I got there and the digital photo kiosk was restarting. Sometimes the card reader on it stops working and needs to be reset. There was a lady waiting near it. So I asked if she was waiting for it. She said she was waiting for the clerk to help her use it. She didn’t know how to use it. So I told her she could watch me.

The kiosk didn’t like my files being so big. It was going super slow compared to normal. So after getting one selected I figured I should go home and shrink the files and try again.

I had to give my printout from the kiosk to the clerk and there was a line. So I helped the lady use the kiosk. Its pretty easy to use once you have it figured out. After that the clerk said I should work there since I know how to use the kiosk. The manager was standing near too. So she asked if I wanted to apply. I said sure, I could use a part time job. And ive been wanting to work in a photo lab.

The application was all done on the computer. So that went easy. She told me that the person that does the hiring will be back on Friday. She also wrote down my name and stuff. So im hoping I get called back.

We went and saw shrek2. it was funny! The weather was pretty crappy all weekend though.

Their kitty is so cute and playful that I miss not having one here. I used to have puppy when I lived in Madison. He made living there easier for me. He was always waiting for me when id get home. And he was real good at playing fetch

The drive home was pretty uneventful. It was raining on and off. A few traffic jams. Didn’t wanna leave but I have work and stuff

Are we there yet?

The drive to tammys was pretty good. It was nice and sunny out. So I got to look at all the scenery while driving. Until it got dark out, then the drive sucked. Driving at night is boring.

I did a count of weird things while driving there. I saw 3 different people pulled over. I got pulled over once too. I didn’t have a front license plate on my car. He gave me a written warning that says I need to fix it and have a cop sign off on it being fixed and mail it back. Otherwise I get a ticket. But on the ticket where it says the problem to correct there isn’t anything written. So how am I suppose to have an officer sign off that its fixed?

I drank nine cans of soda on the drive there. I normally don’t drink soda, so it helped keep me awake. I had to pee a lot though from all the soda. I ended up stopping five times. One of the times there was two other people using the bathroom also. And neither one washed their hands!

There was two and a half skunk smells. One counted as half because it was only a brief smell.

Mr bear asked if we were there yet way too many times. Im gonna have to get one of those tvs in the headrest things so he shuts up on road trips.

I stopped at my favorite place to stop on my way to Minnesota. Wendy and Shannon know what im talking about. Id always make a stop there when we went past it. I didn’t get anything to eat though. I wasn’t hungry, but I had to pee and they have better bathrooms. The urinals have dividers. I stopped at the mcdonalds at the exit there once cuz it was closer. But the urinals don’t have dividers there. That and mcdonalds sucks.
